An FMCG organisation with a turnover of £175m and a track record of organic growth has an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant.
Reporting to the Financial Accountant your role is essential to meeting our tight period end reporting deadlines. You will be responsible for reporting on capital & marketing spend, as well as preparing occupancy costs UK wide in our period end accounts.
This position will gain exposure to all aspects of the period end accounts by providing assistance to the Financial Accountant in a range of areas. These include issuing regular and ad-hoc reports to management, working with IT on resolving any differences between our accounting package and source systems, as well as journal and balance sheet reconciliation preparation.
The role would suit an individual who has commenced studying towards CIMA or ACCA. Good Excel IT skills are essential.
