Main Function
To provide Managers with a training function that ensures our workforce has the right skills at the right time to meet operational requirements, both for the present and the future.
To be responsible for-
Assisting Managers in identifying company and individual training needs + the preparation of training needs analyses
designing, delivering, recording and evaluating internal training programmes
contributing to change management initiatives
working with Managers to develop training plans and training materials to meet SOP's and ensuring training is carried out, recorded, reviewed and evaluated
sourcing best value and best fit external training providers and monitoring their performance against SLA's
developing external networks and systems for the intake of trainees, both graduate and apprentices
supporting the implementation of PDPs for senior and high potential staff
developing and improving induction training
benchmarking and statistical reporting & improvement of recording systems
contribution to the development of high level assessment centres for key roles
planning and implementing a coaching/mentoring programme
providing training support for Business Improvement projects
Analysis of the current HR IT Platform and its effectiveness from a training management perspective. Production of a draft technical specification for a new system which incorporates bolt on packages relating to training, human capital reporting etc
